A note from Hayet
Reading has always been more than working through a list of books for me. It’s been a way to learn, explore, and better understand myself. Every book I’ve read has shaped me in some way, and I often think of its characters as companions on my journey home to myself.
For years, I shared the books I was reading without really saving that journey for anyone to revisit. The desire to share more of myself through the books that shaped me led me to start Rida’s Circle, a community within KHOI where I share the books I love, along with the bookmarks I design to accompany them.
At our first event, you’ll be able to shop the full range of KHOI bookmarks, along with a selection of our keyrings. You can preview the collection on the site now, with Ghana cedi pricing coming closer to the date.
We’ll accept card and mobile money payments only, so please plan accordingly.
A note: there will be no jewelry available at this event. Our jewelry collection will be available at our larger October pop-up.
As part of Rida’s Circle, we’ll be popping up in bookstores around the the world, celebrating the art of reading together and creating space to share the stories of the books that shaped us.
Our first gathering will be in Accra, Ghana, this September, at my favorite local bookstore. Over the past year and a half, I’ve returned to this space many times while building the foundation of my new self, so I couldn’t imagine a more meaningful place to begin.

KINKANÉ will have the curated list of Hayet's favorites available to purchase at The Rida's Circle event. You will also be able to purchase KHOI bookmarks and keyholders.
We will be accepting debit/credit card, and Mobile Money (MoMo) payments in Ghana cedis (GHS) only.
No, once the event ends KHOI will no longer be available to be purchased at KINKANÉ Bookshop, but we encourage you to continue to patronize the business!
